Position Description:
Volvo Construction Equipment is looking for an Embedded Software Development Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. The department is focused on designing software solutions for current and future autonomous and electric machines to make them more efficient and environmentally friendly. As part of a cross-functional and cross-cultural agile setup, the Engineer will lead a team of talented individuals and collaborate with other teams to ensure quality software models/modules are delivered.
Responsibilities:
The Embedded Software Development Engineer will be responsible for contributing to embedded software development for Global/Local products in EMOB & Driveline platform for different Volvo CE sites. The Engineer will manage and deliver the software models/modules and drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have experience working with MATLAB and Simulink, and be able to write readable and maintainable basic code using C/C++. They should have knowledge of GIT, Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), and CAN, with an advantage if they have experience working in the automotive or heavy equipment industry. The candidate should have an open and creative mindset, with a can-do attitude, and be a risk taker with an entrepreneur/ownership mindset who has the ability to create unity and focus on results. They should have a drive to develop as a professional and accept new challenges in the dynamic environment.
Key Skills:
- Good knowledge in Model-based Development using MATLAB Simulink & Stateflow & Production Code generation Tools.
- Good knowledge in C Programming or C++ programming, embedded software development, and real-time behavior.
- Knowledge in development environment.
- Knowledge in ECU system (e.g. Communication & diagnostics protocols).
- Knowledge in RTOS Concepts.
