Work Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions with an Agile Development team
  • Define, produce, test, review, and debug solutions
  • Database development with Postgres
  • Deploy solutions to Docker containers and Kubernetes
  • Develop ETL process and lead implementation and delivery
  • Build data systems and pipelines
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives
  • Collaborate with team
  • Showcase skills and innovative ideas to team biweekly

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Python & SQL
  • Hands-on experience with SQL database design
  • Knowledge of Airflow
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Apache Spark or AWS EMR
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with Git repositories
  • Experience with Windows and Linux
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar project tracking software
  • Experience with data streaming (e.g. Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Spark Streaming)
  • Experience with BigQuery or similar databases
  • Knowledge of NOSQL databases
  • Experience with RDS in AWS
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Jaspersoft.
