Work Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions with an Agile Development team
- Define, produce, test, review, and debug solutions
- Database development with Postgres
- Deploy solutions to Docker containers and Kubernetes
- Develop ETL process and lead implementation and delivery
- Build data systems and pipelines
- Evaluate business needs and objectives
- Collaborate with team
- Showcase skills and innovative ideas to team biweekly
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Python & SQL
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Knowledge of Airflow
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Apache Spark or AWS EMR
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Git repositories
- Experience with Windows and Linux
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar project tracking software
- Experience with data streaming (e.g. Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Spark Streaming)
- Experience with BigQuery or similar databases
- Knowledge of NOSQL databases
- Experience with RDS in AWS
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Jaspersoft.
