Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a passion for solving complex technical challenges, spanning from network to application stack.
- Relentlessly focus on automating processes at scale, involving tens of thousands of servers.
- Engage in deep exploration to understand how systems work, not just what they do.
- Strive to enhance the speed, reliability, and efficiency of web applications and backend systems.
- Think creatively to design systems that collect, instrument, and analyze data, providing actionable insights.
- Excel in fast-paced projects, with broad and deep technical expertise, and a drive to experiment with new technologies.
Eligibility Criteria:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate to advanced coding expertise in Python, Perl, Go, Node, or Java.
- Strong experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, and software design practices.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with build and deploy technologies such as version control, Maven, Docker, and Chef.
- Proficiency with containers and container orchestration technologies like Mesos and Kubernetes.
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Strong skills in administering, debugging, and tuning web applications and containers, along with related technologies.
- Deep understanding of UNIX/Linux system internals and tools for troubleshooting application stack dumps and networking issues.
- Experience in leading incident resolution and effectively communicating technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
