Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with WWT business, engineering, and technology teams.
Extract data from customer source systems or databases into software or development environments.
Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and data processing using programming tools such as Python.
Utilize statistical and programming tools, including Python, to analyze data and develop solutions for business challenges.
Conduct quality control on deliverables to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Prepare and deliver reports and presentations, effectively communicating findings.
Stay updated on advancements in Big Data, AI/Deep Learning (e.g., Spark, AWS, Azure ML, Pytorch), and Generative AI (e.g., Langchain).
Provide thought leadership in algorithmic and process innovations, bringing creativity to solve unconventional problems.
Interact with clients, including in-person meetings, to make business recommendations and present findings with effective visual displays of quantitative information.
Research and develop internal capabilities to enhance skill sets in the latest data science developments and work towards innovative solutions to existing challenges.
Eligibility Criteria:
Fundamental knowledge of supervised learning algorithms (e.g., linear and logistic regression, time series forecasting) and unsupervised learning algorithms (e.g., K-Means, K-NN).
Basic understanding of statistics and hypothesis testing.
Programming experience in Python, R, or Java.
Foundational knowledge of databases and experience with SQL.
Proficiency in functional and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
Experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred skills:
Experience working with Big Data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, HBase).
Academic or project experience with deep learning toolkits (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, Theano, PyTorch, Caffe).
Experience working on UNIX-based systems and proficiency with command-line utilities (e.g., sed, awk, Makefile).
Experience with NoSQL databases.
