Job Description

Volvo Group is currently seeking candidates for the position of Graduate Apprenticeship Trainee (GAT) Engineer – Product Builds.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning, assembly, and update of test objects (Vehicles, Engines, Transmissions, CABs, E Mob…) utilizing virtual tools and techniques.
  2. Provide support for routine activities related to Problem Solving, 5S, and continuous improvement.
  3. Contribute to the performance of Product Builds, involving both virtual and physical build activities.
  4. Demonstrate initiative and proactivity in tasks.
  5. Maintain organizational discipline and collaborate effectively with experienced professionals.
  6. Take the initiative to explore new technologies supporting Virtual Product Development and Simulations.
  7. Foster communication and collaboration by reaching out and networking with cross-functional teams, exploring possibilities, and formalizing connections.
  8. Lead the Build process in projects from order to delivery.
  9. Specify test objects and manage the Bill of Material for test objects.
  10. Oversee the supply chain and logistics for parts required for assemblies.
  11. Ensure the secure assembly of test objects.
  12. Estimate project costs accurately.
  13. Manage processes related to Product Builds activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Background in engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Automotive streams.
  2. Quick learning ability for the tools and techniques used in daily operations.
  3. Experience in engineering projects involving CAD, Virtualization, and/or simulations.
  4. Possess an innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  5. Proficiency in the English language.
