Job Description
Volvo Group is currently seeking candidates for the position of Graduate Apprenticeship Trainee (GAT) Engineer – Product Builds.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, assembly, and update of test objects (Vehicles, Engines, Transmissions, CABs, E Mob…) utilizing virtual tools and techniques.
- Provide support for routine activities related to Problem Solving, 5S, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the performance of Product Builds, involving both virtual and physical build activities.
- Demonstrate initiative and proactivity in tasks.
- Maintain organizational discipline and collaborate effectively with experienced professionals.
- Take the initiative to explore new technologies supporting Virtual Product Development and Simulations.
- Foster communication and collaboration by reaching out and networking with cross-functional teams, exploring possibilities, and formalizing connections.
- Lead the Build process in projects from order to delivery.
- Specify test objects and manage the Bill of Material for test objects.
- Oversee the supply chain and logistics for parts required for assemblies.
- Ensure the secure assembly of test objects.
- Estimate project costs accurately.
- Manage processes related to Product Builds activities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Background in engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Automotive streams.
- Quick learning ability for the tools and techniques used in daily operations.
- Experience in engineering projects involving CAD, Virtualization, and/or simulations.
- Possess an innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in the English language.
