Key Responsibilities:
Unlocking the Power of Data:
- Collaborate on the end-to-end data lifecycle, including collecting, cleansing, and transforming diverse data sources into actionable insights to support business strategies for functional leaders.
- Assist senior BI professionals in building robust ETL processes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
Crafting Visual Storytelling:
- Design and develop impactful dashboards and reports to showcase commodity trends, prices, and global market dynamics.
- Create visually compelling and interactive reporting tools to present data effectively to stakeholders, including executive teams, analysts, and developers.
- Mentor and train users to utilize dashboards efficiently for data-driven insights.
Becoming a Data Detective:
- Analyze commodities data to identify trends, patterns, and hidden insights that inform critical, real-time decisions.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills to understand business requirements and convert them into actionable insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics and KPIs, driving data-informed decisions that influence organizational strategy.
Engaging with Strategic Minds:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address complex business challenges with innovative data solutions.
- Gather, refine, and translate business requirements into insightful reports and dashboards, elevating the BI team’s capabilities.
- Provide ongoing support to cross-functional teams by addressing issues and adapting reports to evolving business processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in BI projects, focusing on dashboard development using Power BI or similar tools, and deploying them on respective online platforms for accessibility.
- Proficiency in working with databases such as Redshift, Oracle, and Databricks, including SQL-based data manipulation and implementing ETL processes for BI dashboards.
- Ability to analyze data, identify meaningful patterns, and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Skilled in gathering requirements and developing effective BI solutions.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps), with intermediate to advanced Python skills preferred.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques relevant to specific problem statements.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, as well as data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to Generative AI concepts and tools like ChatGPT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
- Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and enhancing the performance of existing ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile project implementation methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and promptly in high-visibility roles.
