Software Engineer – Java

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and productize highly available, distributed, and scalable transactional enterprise systems
• Program using Java/J2EE for middleware or backend applications
• Develop microservices architecture in a highly distributed environment using web services, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SOA
• Work with both RDBMS such as Oracle and NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Couchbase, and Elasticsearch
• Troubleshoot systems and have real-world deployment experience
• Work with demanding schedules and rapid development cycles using Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud technologies is an added advantage
• Handle distributed vendor resources
• Act as a leader within their area of expertise to motivate, guide, and inspire teammates
• Lead efforts to build scalable, distributed, and highly available systems and pipelines
• Come up with good design proposals and thorough analysis of production issues
• Involved in the end-to-end cycle of design, development, and deployment of core services for mission-critical customer-facing applications

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience in programming using Java/J2EE for middleware or backend applications
• Skilled in developing microservices architecture in a highly distributed environment using web services, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SOA
• Familiarity with both RDBMS such as Oracle and NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Couchbase, and Elasticsearch
• Possess sharp troubleshooting skills and have real-world systems deployment experience
• Proven ability to work with demanding schedules and rapid development cycles using Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud technologies is an added advantage
• Ability to handle distributed vendor resources
• Self-directed, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to come up with good design proposals and thorough analysis of production issues
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
