Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to quality engineering efforts, focusing on automation testing and continuous integration, especially in back-end APIs and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams to drive continuous improvement, innovate, and take ownership of key initiatives.
  • Design and develop testing frameworks and robust automation scripts.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality automation code and guide teams in best practices.
  • Engage in ongoing projects with diverse scopes, applying industry standards and practices, and independently ensure quality across assigned modules.
  • Work closely with product and development teams to clarify requirements, contribute to scoping/sizing, and develop strategies for high-quality delivery.
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings and daily stand-ups, adapting to changing needs in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Expertise in full-stack web development, including JavaScript, CSS/Less, Sphinx, Redis, and Rspec.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized institution.

Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures.

Experience in developing test frameworks using open-source automation tools.

Deep knowledge of test architecture principles and their application in web/cloud-based technologies.

Proficiency in writing clean code in languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, along with code review expertise.

Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycles, processes, and project management techniques.

Familiarity with Test and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD), Cucumber framework, Selenium, Capybara, Appium, and Calabash.

Experience with REST APIs, SOAP web services, and handling JSON and XML payloads.

Knowledge of build systems like TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, and Ant.
