(Operations Management Trainee)
JOB OVERVIEW
The Operations Management Trainee (MT) should possess high motivation and a results-oriented mindset, coupled with a robust foundation in operations and a dedication to continuous learning and professional development. The MT will undergo a comprehensive training program that focuses on operations, providing exposure to various departments and roles within the organization to develop essential skills in leadership, problem-solving, and process optimization. Additionally, the individual should be devoted to contributing to the operational excellence of the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The MT may be assigned a combination of the following responsibilities based on the functional role:
- Support day-to-day planning activities in collaboration with contract manufacturers and in-house functions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to monitor customer purchase orders until shipment completion.
- Review long-term and short-term forecasts to ensure capacity and material supply alignment.
- Collaborate with the NPI team on new product releases, ensuring capacity ramp-up for future demand.
- Ensure business continuity to support customers.
- Review lead times, communicate them to customers, and drive allocation strategies.
- Plan spares as per requirements, ensuring continuous service for customers.
- Support commissioning requirements by coordinating with field services.
- Assist in process excellence projects, including the development of training modules.
- Develop and manage processes to support Lean manufacturing.
LOCATION, TRAVEL, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work location: Bangalore/Chennai
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as per business needs.

FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, OR EQUIVALENT
- B-Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Production + MBA in Operations Management.
- Certifications in SCM/Planning/Lean are advantageous.
