Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop structured data models to facilitate effective data analysis.
• Design and create scalable Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes from business source systems and develop ETL routines to populate data from various sources.
• Transform object and data models into appropriate database schemas while adhering to design constraints.
• Interpret installation standards to meet project needs and create necessary database components.
• Create and execute test scenarios to validate the accuracy and integrity of data transformations.
• Manage data migrations across different databases and applications, such as MS Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, and other ERP systems.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to define and implement data table structures and models based on business requirements.
• Analyze and develop documentation for ETL processes and data migration activities.
• Work with stakeholders to evaluate and gather potential data requirements.
• Define and manage scoping, requirements, prioritization, and implementation activities for small-scale changes, while assisting with complex change initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend and implement improvements in both automated and non-automated components of data tables, queries, and models.

Knowledge and Attributes:

• Extensive experience in defining and managing the scope, requirements, and prioritization of activities.
• Deep understanding of database concepts, object and data modeling techniques, design principles, and the creation of physical and logical data models.
• Proficient in using tools such as Microsoft Azure Data Factory, SQL Analysis Server, SAP Data Services, and SAP BTP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the data architecture landscape, including the relationship between physical and logical data models.
• Strong analytical mindset coupled with excellent business acumen.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all organizational levels.
• Advanced expertise in programming languages such as Perl, Bash, Shell Scripting, and Python.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as SAP, Microsoft Azure, or similar are preferred.
• Certification as a Data Engineer or Certified Professional is highly desirable.

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience in data engineering and data mining within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in developing modern data analytics solutions to deliver insights from large, complex, multi-terabyte data sets.
• In-depth experience with the architecture and design of secure, highly available, and scalable systems.
• Proven success in implementing automation and scripting solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, Shell Scripting, and Python.
• Experience working with big data tools such as Hadoop, Cassandra, and Storm.
• Strong skills in programming languages, preferably .NET.
• Proficiency in databases including SAP, SQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL.
• Hands-on experience with analyzing data sets and organizing data using advanced MS Excel functions, including macros and pivot tables.
