Job Description
Title: Data Analyst – Product Analytics Team
Summary:
The Data Analyst role within the Product Analytics Team at Data Analytics involves leveraging transaction-based revenue methodologies to drive Mastercard’s Strategy, Product Design, and Innovation. This global role focuses on developing large-scale Analytical Capabilities supporting end-users across six continents. The responsibilities include architecting, developing, and maintaining advanced reporting and data visualization capabilities, translating business requirements into tangible solutions, and providing valuable insights through Tableau/PowerBI dashboards. The role requires expertise in data management, mining, analytics, and reporting, with experience in SQL coding, Microsoft BI Stack, Python, and data visualization tools. Additionally, the Data Analyst should possess strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and excel in communication and teamwork.
Role:
Collaborate with global acceptance teams to develop and maintain reporting and data visualization capabilities.
Translate business requirements into tangible solution specifications for products, markets, and services.
Utilize tools for large-scale database manipulation, synthesizing data insights, and presenting findings through Tableau/PowerBI dashboards.
Apply quality control, data validation, and cleansing processes to new and existing data sources.
All About You:
Experience in data management, analytics, reporting, and quantitative analysis.
Financial Institution or Payments experience is a plus.
Proficient in Advanced SQL coding, Microsoft BI Stack, and Python.
Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is advantageous.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Tableau Certification is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
In-depth technical knowledge and the ability to learn new technologies.
Detail-oriented, team player with excellent communication skills.
Ability to interact with management, internal stakeholders, and collect requirements.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, M.S./M.B.A. preferred.
