Kaplan Off Campus Hiring 2024 – Associate Software Engineer (Internship Program to Full-time Employee)
Role Overview:
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will support the development team in all aspects of software design and coding. Your key responsibilities will include learning the codebase, attending design meetings, writing basic code, fixing bugs, and assisting the Development Manager with various engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Familiarize yourself with the codebase and enhance your coding abilities.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for both front-end and back-end development.
Work collaboratively with experienced developers to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications.
Incorporate feedback from team members and the development manager to improve code quality based on reviews.
Troubleshoot existing systems and applications as part of production support and ongoing tasks.
Research and utilize the latest technologies and tools relevant to development work.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.
Assist in the testing and deployment of software applications.
Work within fast-paced, agile engineering teams.
Adhere to scrum-based agile principles.
Demonstrate adaptability, collaboration, and effective teamwork.
Focus on test-driven development and metric-guided solutions.
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office.
Preferred notification period: 30 days.

Program Duration:
The program runs from September 2, 2024, to December 2, 2024. Successful internships may lead to full-time employment with Kaplan upon program completion and earning a Bachelor’s degree.
Education & Experience:
Currently enrolled in a B.Tech/BE degree program in engineering, graduating in July/August 2024, with a focus on Computer Science.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development life cycle.
Basic knowledge of common front-end and back-end coding languages, such as:
Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
Backend: Python, Java, C#, Ruby, PHP, or others
Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Salesforce.
Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies.
Ability to quickly learn new software and technologies.
Demonstrated academic achievement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Enthusiastic with a growth mindset, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities, adaptable, a critical thinker, organized, and collaborative.
