Job Description

Intelsat Off Campus Hiring 2024 – Intern, Associate Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of Airborne System Software.
• Collaborate with Architects, Technical Leads, and Product Owners to interpret user requirements, transforming BDD scenarios or user stories into functional product features.
• Work closely with the team to collectively own and deliver features, taking on diverse tasks such as development, automation, and testing to ensure the completion of features.
• Consistently perform engineering quality checks with clarity.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong development experience with Java, C++, Go, Java, or ReactJS.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Data Structures.
• Knowledge of IP networking protocols and related technologies.
• Ability to handle work pressure, prioritize tasks, coordinate effectively with onsite stakeholders, and maintain strong organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work across different technologies and platforms.
• A strong commitment to excellence, adherence to best practices, and a continuous improvement mindset towards products, codebases, processes, and tools.
• Experience in leveraging Artificial Intelligence to solve use cases in React JS-based web applications or Java Spring Boot microservices.

• Knowledge of Continuous Integration, Test Automation methodologies, CI/CD practices, and AWS deployments (including EC2, Lambda, S3, MySQL).
