Job Description
Goldman Sachs is currently seeking candidates for the role of Software Engineer-Associate.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Develop web-based applications aimed at enhancing user experience.
- Analyze, design, create, test, and provide support for enterprise applications and batch software solutions.
- Comprehend business requirements, facilitate and establish process workflows, define data needs, and specify necessary components for successful implementation.
- Contribute to technical specifications, both high-level and detailed design, as well as test and implementation plans.
- Assist users in resolving issues by conducting troubleshooting, offering workarounds, or escalating matters to technology management.
- Proficiency in Java and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
Requirements:
- Possess a foundational understanding of Web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Required experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle and Sybase.
- Hands-on experience and comprehension of cloud infrastructure, such as AWS.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming.
- Demonstrated interest in financial technology.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Openness to learning and adapting to emerging technologies.
