Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual credit review packs and industry reviews.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of credit and counterparty risk.
  • Support credit officers in daily risk management activities.
  • Manage and monitor risk limit frameworks, including policies and standards, excess monitoring, driver analysis, and resolution.
  • Oversee daily management and monitoring of risk limits, report any positions outside approved parameters, and understand how the risk profile changes in stress test scenarios.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the bank’s risk systems.

Analyst Expectations:

  • Execute work requirements as identified in processes and procedures, collaborating with and impacting the work of closely related teams.
  • Review the work of colleagues within the team to ensure it meets internal and stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide specialist advice and support related to your own work area.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls for the work you own or contribute to. Deliver your responsibilities in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
  • Maintain and continually build an understanding of how all teams in your area contribute to the broader sub-function objectives, delivering impact on the work of collaborating teams.
  • Continually develop an awareness of the underlying principles and concepts of your area of responsibility, building upon administrative and operational expertise.
  • Make judgements based on practice and previous experience.
  • Assess the validity and applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.
  • Communicate sensitive or difficult information to customers in areas related to customer advice or day-to-day administrative requirements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and customers to identify and address their needs.
