Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software releases. Collaborate with software development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and stability, providing guidance on infrastructure requirements and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, utilization, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and uptime. Implement and manage containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and orchestration, leveraging their scalability and portability benefits.
- Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to enable effective troubleshooting, performance analysis, and incident response.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the efficiency and reliability of software development processes, advocating for automation and standardization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, sharing knowledge and driving continuous improvement within the team.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for production incidents, working closely with the operations team to resolve issues and ensure system stability.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred skills:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, managing infrastructure and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
