Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, support, and maintain software modules used for product testing and qualification throughout the product development and manufacturing lifecycle.
- Write moderately complex software in Python and TCL/TK to enhance and refine existing test systems across multiple manufacturing regions, coordinating software development activities with product development, manufacturing, marketing, quality, and other teams.
- Perform electrical testing on multi-gigabit cable assemblies, analyze data, identify critical quality aspects in product design and manufacturing, conduct root cause analysis, and document corrective actions in reports.
- Create and execute test plans, conduct software reviews, perform system verification and validation, and analyze and resolve failure modes, documenting the results.
- Adhere to Molex Total Quality Management (TQM) and Quality/Environmental Management Systems by following approved policies and procedures.
- Create documentation for products and test systems, including specifications and work instructions.
- Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers during the software development process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering.
Preferred skills:
- Experience in developing, modifying, supporting, and maintaining software modules for product testing and qualification throughout product development and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in analyzing test data using statistical modeling tools and performing root cause analysis.
- Ability to integrate software with custom-designed circuit boards, mechanical fixtures, and off-the-shelf test equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, and network analyzers.
- Experience in customizing, maintaining, and supporting software for RF/microwave electrical test systems used in the manufacturing of multi-gigabit cable assemblies based on standards like Ethernet, Infiniband, Fiber Channel, PCIe, SAS, and SATA.
