INVESCO – Business Trainee
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct daily monitoring to ensure adherence to investment restrictions and guidelines.
- Gain expertise in rule coding and testing within an Order Management System (OMS).
- Identify and escalate unusual transaction activities or potential breaches in accordance with established procedures.
- Support the creation of documentation to substantiate internal reviews, ensuring processes and controls comply with SEC regulations and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with global compliance teams to assess, document, and report on various compliance activities, including ongoing testing and control implementations.
- Provide assistance with day-to-day compliance issues related to trading strategies, including the application of relevant technology-based controls.
- Coordinate with global legal and compliance teams as needed.
- Proactively address and resolve compliance issues as they arise.
- Handle queries from other teams independently, escalating issues to managers when necessary.
- Participate in compliance projects, contributing to process efficiency through automation or improved controls.
- Share key learnings with the Compliance team periodically.
Desired Experience
- 0-2 years of relevant experience within the asset management sector. Familiarity with financial products or programming languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory environments such as UCITS, SFC, FCA, SEC, and ERISA is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and adaptable to changing situations.
Educational Qualifications
- MBA in Finance or a related professional qualification with a specialization in finance is preferred.

Job Description
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will participate in the Invesco India Technical Leadership Program (IITLP). The goal of IITLP is to cultivate future technology leaders who will assist Invesco in developing top-notch technology solutions to support global operations, spearhead innovative use of data and emerging technologies to enhance the investment experience, and aid our clients in maximizing their quality of life. For this position, you will be integrated into the Intelliflo/Digital Wealth Management team, collaborating with Product Managers, GTM team, Sales, and Technology team globally to conceptualize products and services and guide the Wealth Management Technology program.
Your Responsibilities:
- Engage in mandatory classroom trainings and technology sessions, and participate in ongoing technical assignments, focusing on software design and development.
- Contribute to the delivery of comprehensive technology solutions, specializing in one or more core capabilities such as application development, web development, solution design, or quality assurance.
- Operate within a scrum model to strategize, design, execute, test, and deploy various technology solutions.
- Rotate across different product teams within the department throughout the program duration.
- Attend continuous cultural, technology, and process training sessions.
- Collaborate with sponsors, mentors, business associates, and HR personnel to comprehend business objectives and deliver accordingly.
