Job Description

McAfee – Web and E-commerce Software Engineer – Hybrid

Role Overview:

This position is for a development engineer within the McAfee Consumer Platform Operations team. The primary responsibility is addressing and resolving customer issues escalated to Engineering, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while supporting various projects and applications.

This role is remote, but occasional on-site presence at the Bangalore office may be required as necessary.

About the Role:

Your main responsibility will be handling customer escalations, resolving issues within established SLAs, either by following standard procedures or collaborating with cross-functional teams. You should be capable of working independently on assigned tasks and escalating issues when further assistance is needed.

You’ll work with teams to streamline and automate repetitive tasks. Opportunities exist to develop and support internal tools to reduce manual effort. Your programming expertise will also help enhance these tools. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues using APM tools, create dashboards in platforms like Grafana, and adjust alerts to improve monitoring for the SRE team.

About You:

• 0 to 6 months of experience in web and e-commerce.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with solid logical and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in SQL query writing.
• Familiarity with .NET Core, GoLang, or Node.js will provide opportunities to enhance internal tools and frameworks.
