VMware is hiring for the position of Software Engineer in Bangalore location for freshers (2017 – 2023 batch) with Freshers/ Experienced of experience. The expected salary is 18 LPA.
Job Description:
Position: Software Engineer – Storage Data Path Infrastructure
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, troubleshoot and problem-solve Corestorage stack and related storage offerings in ESXi
- Work on large-scale and cloud deployments to gain learning opportunities
- Work with SCSI, NVMe and iSCSI protocols, and clustering technologies like Windows failover clustering, Redhat clustering, and Oracle RAC
Success in the Role:
Within the first 3 months:
- Understand ESX storage stack and test infrastructure
After 3 months:
- Responsible for fixing product issues, code and design reviews
- Participate in development activities for various core-storage features
After 6 months +:
- Design and deliver features
- Collaborate with PMs and other teams, participate in design discussions and architecture reviews
Work:
- Design and develop new features in core-storage infrastructure and related areas
- Maintain products by fixing product issues and participating in customer calls
Leadership:
- Reports to Senior Manager of Core Storage
- Highly competent team with a nice blend and balance of seniority
- Iterative development is a focus
Location:
- Flexible, mix of office and remote work
- Reasonable non-daily commute expected
