Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop websites to match design files provided by designers
  • Write and use HTML and CSS for website development and support
  • Update, modify, and correct graphical elements on websites
  • Interpret content and design layout tickets to update or correct content and formatting on websites
  • Ensure web links are accurate and update navigational images
  • Integrate websites into Thomson Reuters applications
  • Collaborate with designers, content writers, project managers, and other contributors to ensure timely release of high-quality sites
  • Test sites for minimal errors and optimize layout, performance, and browser compatibility
  • Hold accountability for the quality of HTML and CSS coding on the site and adhere to WCAG standards
  • Adhere to documented processes and best practices

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology (preferred)
  • Web Development certification

Knowledge:

  • HTML5, CSS3/SASS/LESS, JavaScript & Jquery
  • Web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility
  • Advanced Photoshop slicing and image optimization
  • Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Sublime Text

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to hand-code HTML5, CSS3/SASS/LESS, and Jquery for cross-browser compatibility
  • Excellent communication, time management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of emerging web technologies such as Responsive Web Development, CSS Frameworks, and JQuery
